Jammu: Army Apprehends PoK Resident Near LoC in Poonch District
JAMMU: On Friday, alert Army troops successfully apprehended a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, as confirmed by local sources.
The incident occurred when a man was observed moving suspiciously in a forward area adjacent to the LoC. The timely action of the Army during their routine surveillance operations led to his quick capture.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Mohammed Sajad, aged 25, son of Mohammed Rafiq, and a resident of Abasspur in PoK. This identification raises questions about his intentions while crossing the highly sensitive border.
The authorities are currently conducting interrogations to determine the motive behind his crossing into Indian territory. Such incidents underscore the ongoing vigilance of the Indian Army in securing the borders amid escalating tensions in the region.
