A traditional vegetable and seed festival is scheduled to take place on June 28 at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) campus in Vellore. This event, organized by the Isha Yoga Centre, aims to unite seed conservators, natural farmers, agricultural scientists, entrepreneurs, and urban growers, all with a focus on traditional seeds and chemical-free cultivation techniques.
The festival will serve as a significant platform for knowledge sharing, featuring expert talks, success stories from farmers, and an extensive exhibition alongside the prestigious Seed Guardian Awards 2026.

The event will be chaired by G. Viswanathan, the Founder and Chancellor of VIT, with the participation of Vice Presidents Shankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan. It is anticipated that over 2,500 participants will attend the festival, highlighting the growing interest in traditional agriculture.
