Cockroach Janta Party Founder Alleges Physical Assault by BJP Workers in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), accused members of the BJP of physically assaulting reporters and protesters at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Friday. He shared videos of the alleged incidents on the social media platform X.

One of the shared videos features a voice claiming, “our members are getting hit in front of Delhi police.” It is important to note that ChatGPT could not independently verify the claims made or the contexts of the footage.

Dipke’s post accompanying the video stated, “BJP goons physically assaulting reporters and people at Jantar Mantar.” In a separate post featuring another video, he remarked, “Authorities have a problem with pillows too now. Wish they were this efficient and proactive on paper leaks,” alluding to ongoing controversies.

The allegations surfaced as Dipke’s sit-in protest against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan entered its seventh day. The protest has raised serious questions about irregularities in competitive exams and the NEET paper leak issue.

Earlier in the day, Dipke noted Pradhan’s birthday by writing on a whiteboard, “Happy Birthday, Pradhan. Please resign,” while supporters sang the birthday song in a scene that blended humor with protest.

Addressing Minister Pradhan in a video message, he stated, “A very happy birthday to you, Dharmendra Pradhan. Do us a favour and resign. For your birthday gift, we can even send you the resignation letter; you’ll only have to put your thumb on it.” This statement underscores Dipke’s determination to maintain pressure on the minister.

Dipke has expressed his intent to continue the protest until Pradhan resigns, further alleging that the Central Government has ignored requests for dialogue, insisting, “They are calling us terrorists instead.” This reflection on the current political climate reveals the deep-seated tensions surrounding educational governance.

As of now, there has been no immediate response from either the BJP or the Delhi Police regarding Dipke’s accusations.
