Patna Court Extends Stay on Arrest of Educator Khan Sir in Firing Case

A Patna court has extended the stay on the arrest of educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, related to the coaching institute firing case. This decision was announced on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and the next hearing is scheduled for June 30, 2026, according to his lawyer.

The case stems from a firing incident that took place in early June, during which Khan Sir’s coaching institute was reportedly vandalised by a group of individuals. It is alleged that his security guards opened fire in response to the attack.

Khan Sir was named in the First Information Report (FIR) concerning the incident, and the court initially granted him protection from arrest on June 9. His legal team has maintained that he is cooperating with the authorities throughout the investigation.

Latest Court Developments

In the latest court proceedings, the investigating officer submitted an updated case diary, prompting the court to defer the matter for arguments until Tuesday. Khan Sir’s lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mouar, informed reporters that the ‘no coercive action’ order against his client will remain effective until the forthcoming hearing.

Mr. Mouar also mentioned that the hearings for the case involving Khan Sir’s security guards, associated with the same incident, are set for discussion on the same day. This adds another layer of urgency to the proceedings.

“Khan Sir is cooperating with the police and the investigating officers,” said his lawyer, emphasizing the educator’s commitment to transparency.

This continuing legal battle highlights growing concerns over safety in educational institutions, especially when conflicts escalate to violence. With the next court date rapidly approaching, all eyes will be on the developments regarding both Khan Sir’s case and the actions of his security personnel.
